I just recieved the airline tickets. This is gonna be great! 8)
My brother and I will be arriving at the airport in Helsinki at 12.45 local time on the 7th.

It's not that expensive to fly over to Finland from UK(?).

 

Depends - direct flights to Helsinkii are expensive, but multi-hop flights are generally fairly affordable.

 

I think you can also get cheapo flights from Stansted to Helsinki.

Cheap flights to Finland

A recent new low-cost finnish airline does fly between one of the london airports and Helsinki, so the cost of airplane tickets should be pretty cheap. As for guys from further up north, I think there's direct flights from Edinburgh?

 

Weeeeell.. Maybe 2 days? From Paris to Denmark -> over to Sweden (1 day) and then with the ferry over to Finland (1 day).

We have flights we call "Stand By" and they are very cheap! It means that the tickets are sold just a couple of days before the flight, to fill up the plane. If you have anything similar in UK, it shouldn't be that expensive to fly over. But it is true that multi-hiphop flights are generally cheaper (though takes longer).

I still haven't got a ticket to the Assembly.. Hmm.. Hopefully we get some tickets this year too!

should you (or someone else) start to plan something for the ones that will arrive to the B3D meeting? I have a hunch that there will be like 5 guys showing up, but that's ok. At least Patric said something that he might also come?! I don't remember if AJ was going to come..

 

That's cool! I personally think that good food & beer (lots) is the best start to get into the mood. But if you have ideas & suggestions, shoot them my way.

 

man i will be in london the last week of august. Why couldn't u guys have this in new jersey. Its really nice here.....
