Maybe now that QD is working with someone elses IP, there might be some harder editorial control keeping the french guy (forgot his name) cheesy inclinations and excesses in check.

But then again, from what I've heard from people that like star wars, disney didn't manage to keep bad writers from mishandling the story and characters in their mainline movies, so who's to say they'll do it now...
