I heard the story's much more well-written and choosing paths seems fun. The multiplayer looked so much better though. And I agree, Hitman games are pretty aweful compared to SC. The trial-and-error simply is NOT FUN.
    I don't think they're making a PS3 version.

Then I'll buy it. I loved Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory.

They're working on a 5th game. Either play em all now and catch up, or wait... until the end of Ubisoft. :p

Told that directly by an Intel employee.

4+ cores each with only 30% usage probably. I just dont see the point really for the game to be using that many, and I somewhat doubt we'd see any advantages with quad cores over dual cores.

Ubisoft making a leap of faith

    with Splinter Cell: Double Agent

The minimum requirements are something never seen before (copy/paste from Ubisoft Store):
How do you think this will affect the industry, if at all? Limiting the game to such small fraction of the gaming world. Could we see others making similar "jumps" too, effectively accelerating (hopefully) the graphics quality in games?

It may be a small fraction of the PC gaming market, but they also have the new-gen console market (although it's small as yet). What's also interesting is that there's a dumbed-down version for the original Xbox.

As soon as the X360 and PS3 are firmly entrenched (and the previous-gen of consoles are slipping off the radar) I think you'll see a lot of developers follow suit.

Well it appears my system is the minimum (A64 3200+, 1GB ram, 6600GT), but that doesn't really surprise me, I'm overdue for an upgrade.

What concerns me more is the last line. It sounds like more of the same Starforce crap they had on the Chaos Theory disc, which was very aggrivating.

Well Ubisoft announced earlier that they won't use Starforce anymore, which after all their games have been using Securom 7 instead, hopefully this is, too.

Just look at the first post, it has official requirements, and yes, SM3.0 is part of them (and they don't support the lowest end SM3.0 cards (X1300, GF6200) either)
