I thought the XBO showed very well yesterday, particularly in-game with BF4 and with RYSE, at least as good as what was shown elsewhere.

BF4 definitely looked nice but then what makes you sure what they showed actually played on the XBone and wasn't just PC.

Peter Moore said it was running on actual XBO dev kits (EDIT: but was clear, for better or worse, it was not final hardware) during his interview on gametrailers.com yesterday. He was asked that exact question.

Then he lied. You could see quite clearly during the demonstration that the prompts were all keyboard keys, not XBone controller keys.

They are not that pretty, look at the 4th one. It doesn't even look as good as this, just more pixels.

What looks good is subjective, but there's more of everything else too, as you'd expect.

Or it was running on a XBone dev kit with keyboard key prompts.

Why would that be proof he lied? It's a pre-release software version, running on pre-release hardware. You can't draw any such conclusions, the on-screen prompts could say anything at all at this stage. It's not even a beta version of the game for chrissakes. :p

how does that make it not a xbo dev kit?

as he stated on gametrailers, they are all on dev kits, for ps4 and xbo. it's dev kits all the way down

Not necessarily every E3 but every E3 with a new console launch.

it happens with a lot of games too.

"sure that game looked really great, but what was it running on??"

and

"game x sure doesn't look ready to launch in just x months!"

Yeah it's why especially with new launches E3's are almost never a good indiction of final looks and performance. Never enoug time Running on uber, PC's target spec PC's devkits in various specs whatever else.

i think they are. they are not running on uber pc's they are running on xbone dev kits or ps4 dev kits, developers are not dumb. show me past e3 games that got huge downgrades (please limit yourself to video of gameplay, no cutscene or non gameplay angle shots, screenshot trickery etc)

And more...

there aren't any real ps4s at the conference either. but people sure love riding the hate train on ms.

So you claim there are no PS4 dev kits running the final APU, it is all faked with PC faking it without the unified GDD5, 8 Jaguar cores and 18CU GPU? We are months from release and final dev kits are not in developer's hands?
