Didn't Sony abandon the OLED project? Or am i getting things mixed up?

Seems they're still working on OLED technology, very much so!

Nope OLED was never dropped... Just backburnered until it could cook a little more (along with using it in smaller products like mp3 players, CLIEs, etc.).

Sony needs to get things straightened out with Kodak, which owns the butload of OLED patents. That, and the technology is still not quite there yet - a year or so away from mass production.
