well... since they mangled the music for the US release anyway, i don't see why they wouldn't just mangle it again. most people never played sonicCD and wouldn't know the differance anyway.

Sonic Team recently wanted to remake Sonic CD for PlayStation 2, but this was rejected by SCEI. Maybe it has something to do with that.

Serious bummer.. IMO it was, far and away, the best 2D Sonic game made. If Sonic Team had remade it with high res 2D sprites...

Not too sure, Sonic Team has always been vague about the reasons why it hasn't included Sonic CD in recompilations. They did show intrest in doing it some time in the future however, so we might see the game after all.

I am just speculating based on the fact that Sonic Team wanted to remake Sonic CD for PS2, but wasn't allowed to do so by Sony.
