Got in my mail this morning offers for:
Club 3D Radeon™ HD 2900XT 379,99 € Radeon™ HD 2900XT, PCI-Express 16x, 512 Mo

Sapphire Radeon™ HD 2900XT 389,99 € Radeon™ HD 2900XT, PCI-Express 16x, 512 Mo

Bet was more or less than 399 € no ?

If you followed the thread, the bet was about the card which would perform equally or better than the GTX but cost 399 (what everyone expected at that moment), so nope. And it was $50, not Euro.

@ a rumored $399 I'm really liking the R600.
Sure it may not wpe the floor with 8800GTX, but who cares its cheap and faster than 8800GTS.

So nothing was mentioned about performance here when the bet was made....

But then again, there's the thing about euro's and dollars. Cheapest HD2900XT I can find is €337 which equates to $456. Not sure about the cheapest HD2900XT in dollars.

There were several pages of discussion beforehand where people steadily repeated "GTX-like or better performance" for $399 and that's what I called impossible and what the bet was all about.
