Has anyone here seen it? I know it's gotten great reviews, but I'd like to hear some personal opinions more.

Yeah, that is it exactly for me too. I've had too many movies that look cool, but turn out to not be that hot.The549 said:

Some friends of mine went and saw it about two weeks ago. They were really excited, because the rest of the director's work was so good, (Citizen Ruth, Election, and About Schmidt). They said however, that they couldn't stand it, and they actually walked out of the theater it was so bad. I've got a feeling it can't be that bad, but if you liked Payne's earlier work it looks like this might leave you disappointed. I'm probably still going to see it, though.
