The game, which is developed by SEGA's AM2 arcade division, is an enhanced port of the 2005 gun game of the same name.

According to SEGA, the Wii iteration of Ghost Squad will bring about "a number of new Wii-specific gameplay modes and features." The title will, of course, utilize the Wii remote to shoot on-screen enemies, defuse bombs, rescue hostages, and more.

"Ghost Squad brings the classic light gun blaster experience that SEGA made popular in the arcades to the Wii," said Scott A. Steinberg, vice president of marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "With a more robust multiplayer experience than even the arcade version and numerous unlockable items and stages adding replay value, Ghost Squad will be the ultimate shooter experience for the Nintendo Wii console."

Players will make their way through three different missions divided into multiple sub-levels -- many of which unfold through multiple selectable pathways. Gamers will utilize 25 unique weapons to shoot and stab enemies. 25 different weapons. Blow away environments. The title will feature a multiplayer mode compatible for up to four players.

We've already seen a brief video of the game running on Wii and it looks pretty much identical to the already-released arcade game. The title features clean graphics and moves at a quick pace. We'll be playing Ghost Squad on Wii later today so look forward to impressions.

not earth shattering, but I think it's positive for Wii. it could use a few more fast paced arcade titles.
