@Clukos can it be done on PC legally with CEMU? I'd really like to get it for my wife.

 

I'm using a legit Wii U copy but I'm not sure about emulation being 100% legal.

 

What's the perfomance like?

Not worried about the emulation part. Just how to buy and use a copy of the game for CEMU. Is a physically copy required?

Fucking hell, they've really hit the nail in the head with the lighting and atmosfere in this game. It looks both cohesive, dramatic and functional. nice.

So, I just started playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition (Steam for $19.99), and I must say, I’m loving it so far. The graphics at 8K DSR sampling are amazing and very sharp. Though the framerate at 8K sampling isn’t locked at 60fps, I’m still impressed and not bothered by the current framerate (47fps Avg.) that I'm getting. I can’t believe I waited so long on playing this game. Better late than never - I guess.

 

Makes me want to play it again, but when do I find another 230h to do it?

What is that all about? Are you using a different screen than your 79" TV?

 

The TV natively offers DCI 4K resolution (4096 x 2160) and standard UHD (3840 x 2160). LG doesn't list DCI resolutions on it's site, mostly not to overly confuse consumers dealing with 4K standards. But packed manuals and materials will inform the purchaser. So when I game, it's in DCI standards with 6-8K DSR sampling applied.

That being said, LG isn't the only brand that does this. I just wish my main editing Sammy (Samsung) LCD supported it natively, but it only supports UHD. Most of the video material that I capture/render is in DCI standard ...anything beyond that (i.e., 8K RED material), I'm bouncing over to my desktop Dell LCD.

 

4096x2160 is wider than 16:9 aspect ratio though, around 17:9 I'm fairly sure the panels in these TVs are 16:9, so I don't think your TV has a native 4096x2160 panel, otherwise you should see borders on pixel mapped UHD content. My 4K Samsung TV accepts and even defaulted to 4096x2160 in Windows 10 as well, but with a bit of overscan or scaling.
