Do we have new benchmark in real-time graphic technology coming from indie?

We are very proud to present the debut trailer for Reset. Everything you see in the trailer is straight from the in-game engine, no up-ressed textures, geometry or effects. What you see is what you will get. Except hopefully a little bit better since we’re not even in alpha yet. This is however a big milestone for us, and we are going to be concentrating more on the gameplay side of things next.

    I'm totally blown away.

I'll be convinced once we see action shots with enemies, AI, animation, etc...

    Looks promising, however...

Amazing lighting and dof effects. Incredible work, guess we'll re-visit this thread in a few years.

Maybe thats why it looks great? No "lowest common denominator" with regards to consoles.

I want B3D gurus to dissect and analyze the graphics. What am I seeing here?

    It's an exosuit.

    Good answer

Though I think the most compelling element was the display screen and what it said about brain matter reconstruction. An exosuit that can revive a dead, rotting person after possibly centuries? Or is it just connecting to a reconstructed brain? Interesting paradigm never the less. Graphics looks nice, obviously, but nothing seems really ground breaking. It looks firmly rooted in what we've seen over the past few years in terms of techniques. It does look nice and clean though, and that in itself is a good thing. I just hope the gameplay lives up to the engine.
