This looks to be a game right up my ally. It's definitely on my list of games to pickup after I finish a few more.

It's beautiful! It looks fun too, unfortunately the WASD controls make it completely unplayable for me. :(

You don't steer with WASD, you point your vehicle where you want it to go...very disconcerting and unrealistic IMHO. This game was designed for a gamepad, so it was designed for a console. :(

It does have AA at least, I'll give ya that.

Some games just work better with a gamepad, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that per se.

And that driving doesn't seem too bad. Sounds like the way borderlands' driving works, and that felt natural to me.

It's not at all the way Borderlands worked! When you hit "D" you'd turn right in Borderlands, and if you hit "A" you'd turn left; in this game the if you hit "D" you go right and "A" you go left.

Not turning, you just go that way. "W" isn't forward, it's up. I really can't adjust to it. :(

Hmm. I always use/used(I play the game on and off. By on and off, I mean I leave it alone for a month or two, then put on like 60 hours in two weeks. Jesus fuck that game is addictive) the mouse to turn in Borderlands. I didn't realize A and D were options.

Ok, now you're making me doubt myself...gonna go reinstall Borderlands and see what it does. (Besides, I've never tried it with the no-outline mod. ;) )

I just tested it myself, actually(Good thing I got it installed always!). A and D do not turn you, the mouse does. W is forward, and S is reverse.

Alrighty, but do you understand what I'm talking about with Renegade Ops controls and why I don't care for them?

This kind of game would always require a gamepad. The nature of both controlling a vehicle and gunfire, both with 360 degrees, is all but impossible on keyboard/mouse. And Borderlands is a first person shooter, 3rd person vehicles (but always behind). Completely different for controlling and cannot really be used for comparison. Plug an xbox controller in and enjoy the game?

Maybe instead of complaining about control implementation, we should be thankful it is on PC as well.
