Regular status and misc. questions

I think I was supposed to become a Regular member upon crossing 250 posts, but that didn't really happen. I wonder why is that.

Second, I cannot access my account by clicking the top right corner (a link to https://forum.beyond3d.com/account/ ) - it says "Error: You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action." I need to hover over then select either my nickname or "Your profile page" hyperlink. Is that by design?

I'm also lost as to how do I send a PM to a user - there are Conversations in my profile but I cannot start a new one. There are no links to PM or Conversation on any profile page, only public "Profile posts". Is that by design as well?

OK, my Regular status appeared after I made 251st post, though it did not replace the Newcomer status and now I'm a "Regular Newcomer". If I manage to break 1000 posts, will It show"Veteran Regular Newcomer"? :nope:

Issues 2 and 3 are corrected.

With the usergroup promotions, there's no way to replace your primary usergroup, just add you to new ones. I'll patch your account manually, but unfortunately there's no way around that (without software changes anyway, I'll investigate).

FYI, there is no need to replace the groups or manually add custom user titles.

User Groups have the Display Styling Priority parameter - so higher weighted groups take precedence for display. You just need to define the priorities for Newcomer, Regular, Veteren, Legend and Administrator in a clear succession.

To additionally display Subscription levels and the Moderator tag, you should define User Banners for these respective groups (new feature in XenForo 1.2) - these will be displayed alongside the primary user group title.

We already use the user banners to show your user groups, but I haven't weighted them. Doubt I'll fix that any time soon, I have lots more to do before that.

If I understand the system correctly, you don't need to use banners for primary user groups. You only need banners for subscriptions, so you probably need to define additional groups "Newcomer Subscriber", "Regular Subscriber" etc. as part of the user upgrade - with Display Styling Priority weighted the same as primary groups Necomer, Regular etc,, and no additional permissions set. Then add User Banners titled "Subscriber" only in these new groups and uncheck "Allow banner stacking"...
