    That would be correct.

    I looked up a lot of Rage 128 info a few years back when I bought a card based off of one of those...

    the rage 128 loked grainy to me for lack of a better word

    Rage 128 PRO fixed a lot of issues related to 16bit rendering

    I don't think so. Matrox and PowerVR used 32bit rendering to 16bit frame-buffer, 3Dfx used 24bit rendering to 16bit frame-buffer (with optional 22bit postfilter), but ATi and nVidia didn't follow this way.

    I was such a 3dfx fanboy in those days. I was enjoying my VooDoo 4 with FSAA, if any of u even remember what FSAA stood for

    Irony: Today, I hate AA with a passion. AA = Blurry. 99% of the time.

    Heh. Oh ok. Actually, AA is sharper than ever because we aren't using super sampling anymore.

    Heh. I had a R8500 for a couple of years and never used AA on it because of the 50+ % speed loss. That's pretty good quality there though out of your R9000.
