Recently publish the neten screen fotók, which one professed R520-as cards, and on the plane runner 3DMark05 tesztprogram with the help I was made.

This time somewhat authentically source, the PCPOP sideways he has arrived one ( decently he's bad minőségűképernyőfotó), which the 3DMark05 running after score visible.

While the konfigurációról not it sounds the news, the result that way also umpteen tell. If real the result kártyameghaladja one GeForce 6800 Ultra SLI konfiguráció power also. Sciences, that the NVIDIA leggyorsabb solution, serious tunic next to nor ripens off the 13000 speckle.

The question is can your graphics card output more than 8 bit per channel? AFAIK RAMDACs in current gen graphics cards take 8 bit per channel, scale them up to 10 bit, apply gamma correction and then output this to the monitor. In the consumer space only Matrox Parhelia can truly output 10 bit input (correct me if i'm wrong). There are some graphics cards for medical imaging that can output 12 bit (greyscale).

Exactly what I was talking about but I thought ati was using like 13 or 14 bits. Also matrox had 10 bit framebuffers and could output 10 bits per channel ( windows doesn't like it though ). Also correct about the matrox card. Gotta convert to analog somewhere I don't see whats so great about outputing 10 bit digital signals if they are just gonna throw away the last two bits anyway somewhere futher down the line.

    From the X850 specification:

But as previously mentioned I think they use 10 bit just for gamma correction internally and input into RAMDAC is 8 bit.

Correct. Although a 10bpc framebuffer isn't unlikely for future products. Come to think of it, what about FP16? ;)
It is quite unfortunate that DVI only supports 8 or 16 bpc, nothing in between.

Lucky bastard. I had my two main computers break down and just an awful day all around yesterday.

Here's hoping it's a better one for both of us.

Geo- There's a smoking section in purgatory? Count me in!

Laughed out loud at the HardwareOC thing... you really shouldn't take them too seriously. Eg.

"Ismétlésképpen lássuk milyen adatokat tartanak hitelesnek jelenleg az R520-ról:"
    translates (roughly) to
"Let's see again what kind of specs are held authentic for the R520 at the moment"

Held authentic, yeah right... by whom?

    INQ, who else?

Btw (not really) is there any information yet RE availability of the AGP version of the R520? I mean, will I have to wait ~5 months for it like the X850?

To tell you the truth I am sick and tired of paper launches; I hope ATI and nVidia realise that it does in fact hurt their credibility + sales to launch a product which the buyer simply cannot buy.
