quick price question

going off the latest rumours about the x800 pro smacking the nv40's bot it would suggest the x800 pro is going to be a fine card.
when the xt model comes along approx a month or so later will the pro become cheaper ?.i cant really afford the top card but a slighty reduced x800 pro may just come my way.

Unlikely to become cheaper so soon.

Only people that know are ATI marketing folks, AIBs, ODMs and OEMs.

As Tahir said, based on previous and well established pricing behavior, it's unlikely that there will be a price drop since the XT will be out shortly after the Pro.
