Quick athlon xp2200+ Question

    I'm too late to answer ...
    But will add that some Socket A chipsets did still support SDR memory, only I never came about one with it!

    DDR always points to the first gen of DDR... following generations have the number 2 or 3 in front :)

    doesnt help that much it just mentions fsb speed not memory type

    edit: just got hold of the pc and thres a sticker on the ram says pc266

    I never had an athlon xp back in the day, i had a 1ghz tbird pc100 then a 3ghz p4 pc3200

    Socket A ran RAM from PC100 SDR to PC3200 DDR. That one sounds like a PC2100 / DDR266 setup.

    If it is operational just install CPU-Z and get all of the info about it.
