PSP's design already copied

If there was any part of the PSP design they shouldn't have copied it was the direction buttons :D

Wha? Why?

Because they suck at life. ^.^

If I can't do 41236 or even a 236 movement on it reliably in Darkstalkers, even by exaggerating the motion severely, yet I can tick out 632146 or even 34123646 on most other pads, something is wrong. <.<

Because a cross D-Pad is far more effective and user friendly. AFAICS the only possible reason to ever use seperate buttons for a D-Pad is if your action buttons are also 4 buttons arranged the same. That way right or left handers get the same control experience (you can use the action buttons as a D-Pad and vice versa). But that system only has 2 main action buttons.

They're not separate buttons, the middle bit of the D-pad is hidden. I NEVER touch the middle bit, so it's essentially exactly the same.

I love the d-pad on there, I find it a lot more user friendly than the last few d-pads I tried to use on a handhelds - N-Gage and GBA.
