I'd love to see HBOGo, but it is not on many devices and MS probably wrote a big check to keep it away from Sony.

So for Canada that presumably means these will be the services available since these already exist on the PS3 and / or are offered as services in Canada:

Netflix
Crunchy Roll
NHL GameCenter LIVE
Crackle
NBA Game Time

Hopefully Twitch.tv is part of that list and just not mentioned.

Cheers

I'm really hoping they just forgot to add YouTube to that list, and its ready day 1. :p The YouTube, Hulu, Crunchy Roll and Netflix apps probably account for the majority of my TV watching at this point. And no, I'm not counting on the browser being a suitable replacement to accessing YouTube.

Nope, it doesn't seem youtube is in for launch. The 360 does have it at launch though (at the very least from within its browser).

There's a good chance YouTube will work in the PS4 browser, too. Google insists on building their own YT apps these days so I would guess they are the hold up.

I think we don't have an information PS4 browser supports flash plugin. So it might fall back to Youtube html5 videotag playback. Not all youtube videos work on that side if remember right. Not to remember dozens of other video sites using just Flash plugin. Quite many abroad local tv catchup sites still use Flash rtmp media stream.

Flash support is unlikely since it's dying and has no support on iOS and depreciated support on Android. The problem of YouTube not offering html5 versions of all videos hasn't been a issue for years.
