PS3 region codes & DLC ...

I thought there was only 3 region codes for PS3 games ;

R1 - NTSC-U
R2 - PAL
R3 - NTSC-J

These codes are not important if you play singleplayer or multiplayer but if you''re going to download content , there is the problem ... You have to download the content of the game from certain PS Store ; if the game is R1 then you have to download content from US Store ...

Anyway , I've seen something suprising today , Region 4 ;

I googled this , did not find any sources related to PS3 games but for DVDs , region 4 seems to be Australian ... It is surprising for me because AU is in PAL territory ... And we know that PAL is Region 2 ...

So , my PSN account address is from AU [ I live in Turkey but was not on the list when I signed up ] ... What if I download content from PS Store with this account for R2 games ?.. Would it work or AU PS Store content are R4 ?..

You might want to ask Sony support directly to get an official answer since you will end up spending money on this.

the only difference i see is PAL (including Australya) , USA , JAPAN , ASIAN in games
