    Exactly 1.3x the speed, always.

    23% over 7800 GTX.

Now that should get some proper laughs from some folks lurking around these parts!

When? The fastest readily available on Nov 1.

Are we to assume an R520XT or XT-PE. What about the 512MB G70 coming?

By just about any criteria it will be a win some and lose some for both ATi and nVidia.

We're sooo patheticly helpless when the adrenaline hits.

But I ain't gonna play, except to note I like the air of confidence of the ATI guys right now, pre-Det 80s and a possible Ultra.

Hey, that was a joke and not an actual guess. I'm not participating in the poll either since it's pure moonshine at this point (for us wee-folk who aren't in the know).

Who knows... man.. its just for fun. Like playing the lotto. Just make a prediction and see how close you are when the results come in.

pre-Det 80s, indeed. I have a feeling that they are going to pee on ATi's bonfire a little (bug-ridden or not).

Honestly, across-the-board (no bad pun intended) performance doesn't really interest me so long as there's not a large disparity between the two (R520 and GTX). I'm more concerned with things like flow control and HDR and high res. + AA performance.

Well.. it should *own* in high rez AA performance. Considering the new Memory Controller, Tweaked AA algorithms, and insane memory speed.

Tho if they aren't WHQL anyone who uses them in a review in a situation like this should be shot at dawn. No cigarette even.

I say 5-20% on average then (faster that is). It had better be anyway.

who cares about faster? it'll be cooler (less power/less heat) and probably be consistently a little faster. but i've only been gaming 2-3 years, so im basing that theory on the fact that they always have been (with comparable cards). dunno about b4 '02-'03 timeframe though.
