PowerVr in Intel CE2110 Soc

Intel have just confirmed that Their Xscale based Soc has MBXlite in it.

http://www.intel.com/design/celect/2110/index.htm

"The Intel CE 2110 Media Processor also includes an Intel® Micro Signal Architecture (Intel® MSA) DSP core for audio codecs, a PowerVR* 2D/3D graphics accelerator........"

Now I'm not sure if "handheld" is the correct place for this, I don't think the chip is aimed at battery powered products, its more for set-top boxes, IPTV etc, but as IMG technology has generally to date been for the handheld segment, I thought I'd put it in here.

I thought intel sold off their xscale division to Marvell?

They did, but clearly they either

a) Reserved the rights to produce items that were already at the design stage

b) Acquired an Xscale licence from Marvell as part of the deal

It does seem that Intel retained the MBX license they bought in 2002.
