Possible benefits of the ps3 controller

I actually think the way the sides are curved it points your thumbs down toward the analog sticks. PS1 and many other controllers have your thumbs horizontal to the analog sticks. Conceptually in my mind this change may reduce the times when you need to bend your thumb knuckle. Try to rotate your thumb in a circle first with it starting in a horizontal position and then try with it pointing downward.

I would like to see if any one else can think of any subtle impacts this design might have.

I chose this pic because it shows how small this thing is, the others make it look huge.

I'm anxious to try it out. I think the shoulder button position might be more comfortable on the rounded top.

Also the analog stick looks more disk-like, which might work for the best since I always thought the PS2 analog were too tall.
