Playstation TV (PS3 in-store demos)

The demos on these PS3s will include DMC4, VR Tennis 3, GTHD, and RR7. I can't wait to see what they have in America. Freaking DMC4 demos on day 1?
Anybody want to guess the size of that HDTV?

The one in the demo unit looks nothing like the pic you posted...here is another link the bezel is completely different. I would also expect a "Full HD" logo to be on the unit as well (it could just be missing from the pic, or as mentioned before the TV may not do 1080p). To answer the question though, no, I do not think it is the 40v

EDIT: Due to retail space contraints, I would expect a 26"-32", most of the GS/EBs that I have been in don't have much space, and I don't know if the units are going to be end-caps or not in the larger retail chains, but 40" would seem excessive for an end-cap.

See the fine green line in the bezel of the demo, this is a s-series, maybe 26" because you need to save space (width) and the viewing distance above 40" will start to blend the pixels. Also demos should be cheap.

The frame/bezel identifies it as one of the new S-series. It could be bigger than what I first assumed, but none of them support 1080p anyway.

Sony or anyone else would *never* put 40" 1080p HDTVs in all demo units. That's absolutely ludicrous.

It will be the S-Series or even the newer cheaper models, the U-series. 720p units. And it will be 26". Imagine playing on a 40" screen at the distance we usually play from at demo units. Besides, Sony won't be making 1080p TVs for quite some time, if ever.

I do expect to see some special demo units though, probably from very dedicated shop managers, with a nice Bravia X or W-series playing PS3 games.

Heck, i fully expect Sony Centres and other HDTV sellers to have their X and W series Bravias plugged to some PS3s. But that will be more to sell the TVs than the PS3s.
