Plane9 Free visualizer with realtime cg shader editor

Xetick

Newcomer
Plane9 is a scene based screensaver/music visualizer I have been working on for a few years. It was release in its first version about a year ago but have more recently got a simple shader editor added.

Main points of why this can be worth your time

  • Shader editor works in realtime so if you want to quickly tweak something in your shaders it should help you
  • Comes with some shaders from a few known scene intros that shows just how neat shaders actually are (Credit for those shaders goes to the respective authors)
  • If you have a nice shader you like you can quite quickly create a new scene, add it and you would now have a multimonitor screensaver/music visualizer with your very own shader
  • Shader editor is a lot more limited than NVidias Fx composer however its also a lot simpler so might help you if you just want to test what the fuss is about shaders
The program is free and can be found on the Plane9 web page.
I would really appreciate any input on how to make the editor better and easier to use. There is a small amount of documentation for the editor that might help you.

Here is a screenshot of how the editor looks with the amazing shader that is used in the 1k intro 'To the road of ribbon' by XT95/FRequency
