hello, i would really appretiate if anyone can tell me if pci-x interface is (or is going to be) faster than agp 8x.

i would eventually have an opteron & motherboard with pci-x support. thanks a lot.

Is "pci-e" or "PEG" the correct abbreviation for PCI express? I've actually been wondering about that more than a few times. :|

(Yes, I wonder about stupid things a lot. :rolleyes: )

PEG (PCI Express Graphics) is the name for PCI Express 16x, which is obviously the PCI Express version used for video cards. There's still other PCI Express versions, but we'll see how long it is before we see a lot of those on motherboards.
