PCI-e riser card availability

    While I know riser cards exist for PCI-e slots, it seems that riser cards supporting an 16x device into an 8x slot are obscure, and only available in the UK. Any idea where you can buy these things in the US?

    EDIT: Can someone move this to the purchasing decision thread. I believe that's a more appropriate location. Thanks.

    Well I guess you already know the LinITX riser, they do ship to the US too.

    Alternatively you could just file off the edge of your x8 connector and put the video card in directly ;)

    It's a physical slot. Unfortunately my boss won't let me saw it off... it's for work, hehe.

    Who says he has to know about it? Just take an exacto knife to it and slice off the plastic at the end.
