Looks suspicious and potentially disgusting, indeed.

Don't whip out those handkerchiefs yet boys. They said they worked with both IHV's closely and are very straight forward about the things they're doing with the game so I don't expect AMD to take one up the wazoo. The Nvidia loving recommended specs are just marketing.

I like how they say, DX9 cards, then Geforce 8800. Can I still play this game with, say, 7800, which is, technically a 'DirectX 9, Shader Model 3 compliant graphics card'?

Doesn't matter IMO, it's still uninviting none the less. If they are sticking to those specs then it doesn't make sense to assume otherwise. .It's like going to a community meeting with a posted sign stating a specific community you don't live in. It become a fruitless endeavor. When looked at in this way it not marketing. They are simply being honest!

Not only that but the last physx title (batman) left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

I don't want a game that actuallly uses less of my cpu when i turn on physx.

Does 8Gb of RAM on optimum specs indicate a possible 64bit executable?

It would be awesome if there was a demo, but as always, there probably won't be. Buying a console game, I know that I'll get performance that is tuned reasonably to the system, whereas buying for my low-end computer, I have no idea what I'm getting without a demo. Kind of a drag.

You probably won't get much out of this game on a low end computer.

Yes, Batman AA was horrible, I've still got it on my do not buy ever list. :p

But don't jump to conclusions on something that hasn't even been released yet, that just isn't fair.

Once it launches and the proof is in the pudding, so to say, then we'll know whether the dev has kept the gamer in mind or whether they've gone and allied themselves with one or the other IHV to an extent that they deliberately handicap the other.

    Regards,
    SB

I don't trust anything when it comes to nvidia .

Remember Assasins creed and the dx 10.1 bs ?

I simply don't believe nvidia would allow them to implement physx on cpu in a way that would remove the advantage the gpu has.

My only interest is whether I can get "more" than I'd get on my 360 or PS3.

I don't think they can afford to kick ATi users even if they are aiming to focus on console gamers in America, because most players in Eastern Europe will be playing on PC.
