Vanilla Crysis looks fantastic - the only way I ever played the game. I'll wait until I've played the final game to make judgements but from what I've seen Crysis 1 > Crysis 2 in more ways than just graphics.

Well I'm not sure if we're supposed to admit this, but I've toyed with the PC leak. Just a little. It's very impressive. You need to see it in person.

It's sort of funny because at the time lots of people were blown away by the leak's visuals, then over time probably became negative and cynical, the same way they do with C2 trailers (new trailer comes out, reactions start off "wow looks amazing" then after a time become "thats crap"). I'm pretty sure the first reactions are the honest ones.

Then there is lots of talk the Pc leak is somehow locked to medium settings, since it already looks pretty amazing, this caused a lot of jaws to drop...I'm not really sure how true this is though. It increasingly appears to me the Pc version is not going to drastically improve over the leak.

I would say in some way C2 PC visual is better than C1, and in some ways and facets C1 is better. Overall I think C2 looks better on the whole, having played both. It's not something you necessarily see in vids...yet I doubt you can find a non modded C1 vid that looks better than a good settings C2 vid either...for example, here is just a couple a quick YT search yielded:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVNPzEZnvd0

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brorOkqjxhQ

Each has things they do better but on the whole I'll take C2.

As much as I'd like you to be right, that comparison solidified my view even more-so than I thought it would. I didn't watch the full vid but C1 looked a good bit better to me. Note it was running at a lower res aswell.

Lol at the comparison. Not speaking on the graphics, but Crysis 1 looks way more fun.

And just like I thought: Graphics settings (and all other menus) are identical to the MP Demo and leaked beta.

So if you've played the Leaked Beta then the final games is identical minus the performance issues and bugs.

Edit: Oh and nVidia removed all mention of DX11 from their Crysis description page:

Wait, you mean there are no graphics settings even in the final game other that Gamer/Advanced/Hardcore? Absolutely pathetic if so and this game will be removed completely from my purchase list.

The DX11 patch must be so late (several months) that they prefer not to advertise it as a DX11 game¿

Absolutely unbelievable. Not only is it now basically a console port, but its a lazy one at that. What a turn around.

I'm not too happy about the situation either, but your ranting about the game is irritating considering that you pirated it and reading your posts about it I'd quess you are not likely to pay anything for it. So a lot of bitching about a pirated game. You truly are a victim.

    Way to go OT! Nice..
BTW you are "assuming/guessing" a lot of things in there... Stating that I played trough the whole leaked beta, the MP PC Demo and the Xbox360 and PS3 MP demos = "you pirated it and reading your posts about it I'd quess you are not likely to pay anything for it. So a lot of bitching about a pirated game." I "guess" that I also have an Xbox 360 and PS3 according to your assumptions? (I don't own any console besides a NES and Atatri 2600 and Atari Lynx lol But I do have the now uselss MP demo on my PC...). But, yeah I do have something called friends...who I have real physical contacts with... Oh and just for the heck of it: the last game (and one of the only few) I pirated was Doom 3 and I can bitch about al day long if you want.

Anyway...next time maybe you should DM a MOD if I'm "irritating" you?
Now let's go back on topic please..

This is massively disappointing. As a huge fan of the original game and Warhead as well, and of course trying out and replayin the game after I upgraded to the GTX 285 OC editions and replaying them with Nebula's mods...this sort of news is really disappointing. I was thinking of upgrading my PC but now I don't even see any reason to do so. Thanks for disappointing the fans Crytek!

I believe you don't have those consoles, however since you have stated that you have played the leak from start to finish, it means you are quilty until proven otherwise. No way I'll ever believe that you played the full game leak in any other place than on your own household. The bitching about the game also makes it very unlikely that you are going to buy it.

I actually wanted you to stop bitching.
