I don't think I want to be in the beta. I was in the ETQW and BF2142 betas and they were more demos than anything else. Barely anything that we suggested got in and it seemed like an excuse to hype the game for the gamespy/shugashack kiddie crowd: FREE game, get a leg up on your friends before the game is out; rather than actual testing, submitting bugs and proposing changes.

But wasn't DX11 for Frostbite 2? I'm guessing Frostbite 1 is now DX11? Maybe means something for Mirror's Edge 2. (repi, please correct me, rudely if need be.)

Wait, Mirror's Edge 2 is supposed to use Frostbite and not UE3?

I had heard something to that effect, yes.

Though... it might have been because of the 'general knowledge' that ME just used UE3 its development predated Frostbite. Popular logic would then dictate that with Frostbite ready, ME2 would have no reason not to use it. (I realize things aren't that simple.) UE3 licensing is per-title/SKU, right?

I'm pretty sure that ME2 isn't confirmed on UE3, but I'm equally sure it's not confirmed on Frostbite. Again, if repi gut punches me for spreading nonsense, I won't even try to block.

Edit: And with Riccitello's recently-stated focus on sure hits, we may not even see ME2. Or it might not be recognizable at all when we do see it, going off his comments early this year.

I never played the original Bad Company, but I just noticed in one of the latest videos hosted by Gametrailers, people are swearing! I heard "drop that motherfucker!" from a soldier. The original BF gamers were pretty tame in terms of foul language, so this comes as a surprise to me. Are we to expect an M rating?

Here's the video, so you can see for yourselves:

    At the 25 second mark.

Actually, you're right, I just checked the box. I saw the OFLC rating as the ESRB one by mistake on WP, rather than moving 2 feet and checking the box of a game I own, my bad.

Repi, dont forget to have nice shadows for PC version or atleast allow us to tweak it and also have it functional in multiplier. I'll roll in a mud ditch and upload a photo of it if this is granted!

Damn. Ign was handing out beta keys (PS3) but it looks like I was too late. I hope they have one for the PC. Either way, looking forward to this game.
