Nvidia Pascal Reviews [1080XP, 1080ti, 1080, 1070ti, 1070, 1060, 1050, and 1030]

You know what they say about the first user mentioning the word "fanboy" in a forum discussion...

Warhammer isn't a gaming evolved title. In fact, only Deus Ex is a gaming evolved title.
Is that so?
[edit: no YT timestamps? Well, from 0:57 seconds, the end credits show. Including the Gaming Evolved Logo, which also was quite prominemt when last I launched Warhammer: Total War. The video, btw is from here: http://www.amd.com/en-us/markets/game/featured/total-war-warhammer#]

Ashes of the Singularity has only a cross-promotion contract. You won't see the "Gaming Evolved" logo in its website, only AMD's.
Might be, I didn't check every single title by hand. As obviously you did neither.

Ridiculously childish answer. How old are you? 6?
You should remember though that you were the one who accused me of being one after I (as I admitted and apologised) misinterpreted something you wrote.

That's not a list of Gaming Evolved games. Unless you think GTA V is a gaming evolved title.

I did check the official page, interviews, etc. rather thoroughly. There isn't a single mention of AMD in the game's website:
https://www.totalwar.com/product/total-war-warhammer

The game itself doesn't show the AMD logo in its intro videos:

There is a single sentence in one dev blog saying they worked with AMD for the DX12 implementation, though that might have been simply because AMD had working DX12 drivers beforehand?
Regardless, the game came out and it doesn't even show any significant advantage towards AMD, not even with pre-Pascal cards. Unlike Tomb Raider or Hitman in different directions.

Maybe I'm wrong and it is a gaming evolved title even though Sega/Creative Assembly seem to be hiding it pretty well (no mention in-game or official site).
Or maybe that logo is there because they used the gaming evolved app (previously called Raptr) to record the gameplay.

That's why I added it as an additional info, the source, where I got the video from. But you're good at cherry picking.

Since this is gettting beyond ridiculous with me giving you even the timecode of said video...

And this is where AMD stated being involved with Oxide and Ashes and why I "spinned this up" - though apparently there are no more recent mentionings of being a gaming evolved title.

Have a nice weekend.

I did say I could be wrong about Warhammer and I did acknowledge the logo in the video you posted. Why all the drama?
AotS is not a gaming evolved title. It's a bit ridiculous to try to prove that after seeing Oxide's official statements.
"Optimized for AMD" doesn't mean "Only for AMD".

Have a nice weekend.

Yes, you have successfully filled the thread with a garbage of huge pictures (never heard of imgur's scaling features I guess) and distracted the attention from the original point (which is in fact relevant to the thread unlike AMD's marketing slides from May 2015).

https://gaming.msi.com/promotion/amd-warhammer-bundle

its a AMD game evolved title they have a bundling deal with MSI and AMD cards and motherboards.

Easiest way to see AMD optimizations for any game run them in DX11 and if it runs better than the nV counterpart, its well know the CPU bottleneck in DX 11 for AMD hardware is being coded around it. Simple test for any game.

All of the latest DX12 games that are part of amd's game evolved show this same result, magically that driver overhead disappears for them, among other things.

Not saying its a bad thing, but take that into consideration when talking about over all performance of graphics cards. Extra work is being done to help AMD on Dev's side, which for us is good, it shows their program is doing better, down side is, will it continue as nV, if nV spins up their DX12 efforts, which we haven't seen them do yet. At the moment they don't seem to be bothered by it, but like VR, they were doing things behind the scenes and now we see they have taken a clear lead with it. AMD's marketing for VR played right into nV's hands.

Actually Ashes and Warhammer have bad DX11 performance on AMD hardware, Warhammer is so bad a Fury X is behind 1060 @1080p:

http://www.pcgamer.com/total-war-warhammer-dx12-boost-for-amd-still-cant-match-nvidias-dx11-performance/

With behaviors like this, some sites devised a test plan where each vendor is tested with the API that yields the best performance, like computerbase for example in testing Ashes: NV with DX11, AMD with DX12. It helps that DX12 offers essentially nill difference from DX11. NV's DX11 will overpower AMD's DX12 in some titles (Tomb Raider, Warhammer, BF1), but greatly trail it in others (Hitman), and offer what is considered to be a tie or a close call (Ashes).

you still see the hit at lower res yeah, but that would be unavoidable, in past games we saw it all over the place, high res too. Granted games coming out will push cards harder so I have to take that into consideration but the fact remains both those two games are heavily CPU intensive, and we don't see the hit like we see in Metro, which is relatively less on the CPU.

Here is total war at QHD

Even this has changed on, as nV cards don't see the performance drop from DX12 anymore with later drivers......

And here is Ashes at qhd.

nV is behind on their driver development for DX12 and Vulkan.

A couple = Red Devil RX 470 winning 7 out of 8 DX12 benchmarks. One of the wins being in a gameworks title.

The spinning is strong with this one.

Hi, I didn't say "a couple of wins". What I actually said is "a couple of nice results" which were the Hitman ones. The others didn't seem particularly significant, but you are correct that many of them were slight wins. Perhaps a bit more for Warhammer. Hope that helps.

Actually Techspot tests with the internal benchmark, it's quite useless and not representative of the actual gameplay, Computerbase shows Fury X DX11 performance is roughly equal to 1060 @1080p and even 1440p, PCgameshardware found the same thing as well (FuryX = GTX 970!). So that's triple confirmation for you, the site also found something interesting, NV is faster @DX12 as well using Actual gameplay:

EDIT: Added Sweclockers test, citing the same trend:

And here is Ashes at qhd.
This test is using High settings, At crazy settings with MSAA, things are radically different.

Well here is Hitman's CPU test dx11 and 12

Quantum Break CPU tests dx 11

http://www.tweaktown.com/guides/7655/quantum-break-pc-performance-analysis/index2.html

Star Wars Battlefront

http://www.techspot.com/review/1096-star-wars-battlefront-benchmarks/

and Deus Ex Mankind Divide and a few others, so many of the game evolved titles show the same thing, the CPU bottleneck has been removed *lessened* on DX11, but not on the drivers side of things, on the application side of it. Cause it if it was driver side it would be universal to all applications which its not.

So in any case, all this talk really doesn't matter because the LLAPI's bring AMD back to parity, where they should be, but there are many DX11 games out there, DX12, Vulkan more to come in the future, but Pascal based cards hold their own even without proper optimized drivers, which should be resolved as time goes on too.

As we can see things change with later drivers, and as you pointed out, game play seems to show a different picture than built in benchmark runs. Noticed this with AOTS, Hitman, Deus Ex.

Asus ROG GX800VH Watercooled Laptop Review

GX800 has a similar appearance to GX700 but the hardware is all new, starting with a pair of Nvidia GTX 1080 GPUs in SLI. Yes, two 1080s in a laptop, driving a 4K display for maximum gaming pleasure.

that is one FAT notebook, not phat, but FAT lol

I was just ask me, why dont make it more "standard, clean ", let say who look nearly invisible on the desk ( as an square TVbox or whatever ) instead of this flashy, super futuristic look . Im pretty sure it could look nice in Akihabara or hokkaido net coffee , but as it is right now, it just look perfect for Transformers fans .

damn we have classy ultrabook with magnesium, aluminium full case, why do this things have the look of an old mobile radio from the nineties ..

Guess its just personal taste, I'm like you, prefer the minimalistic look, sleek thin just doesn't really look like something that came from the 80's and 90's lol.
