NVIDIA G92 to launch on November 12th, so the story goes

    Citing sources at graphics card makers, Digitimes are reporting that an NVIDIA GPU by the name of G92 is set to launch on November 12th. <br /><br />Read the full news item

    It's interesting to note that that is when the IEEE Supercomputing conference is. Could be just a coincidence... What else is during that time frame?

    Well NVIDIA tends to announce products just before their financial conference calls when possible. However, in this case, I think the 12th is actually *after* the Q3 CC, which should be on the Thursday before that if they follow their traditional calendar again this year. So I am midly confused...

    One possibility is that they want to release chipset stuff before the CC, and GPU stuff afterwards - but I'm not sure what would be the point of that. Hmm.
