Just got the news here at GDC myself.. this is big and a really good buy for NVidia. The Hybrid guys are extremely good at what they do.

I wonder what happens those few patents that are co-owned between Hybrid and Bitboys...
for example this:

EDIT: that's actually only co-owned patent I could find.

Hmmm. this document (1.8M pdf) on Hybrid's homepage states (page 5):

Hybrid Core is the device driver for several embedded 3D hardware offerings

which sounds like Nvidia now has seized control over the drivers of at least some of its competitors in this market segment. It will be ... interesting to see what the fallout of this will be.
