It's only true until the next best thing from NVidia is released.. then it has the resale value of NVidia last year's mid-end hardware...

From what he told me, he has a personal friend that works at nVidia and I think he's the one that got him into the program.

I wouldn't expect anyone to come forward before now. The moment they did many reading their posts would have assumed the posts were biased even in cases where they were not. In this case ChrisRay and Chalnoth tended to be more proNV posters, but I got that impression from their content not their affiliation and that's how it should be. People should be judged on what they write without people trying to look for things that probably aren't there.

No, you're just in time to help us escort Rollo to the Sander Sassen wing of the graphics cards Hall of Shame.

I'm not implying anything, I'm stating pretty clearly that I am my own man and I am not responsible for other people's opinions or public behaviour. I replied to geo.

Would some of you guys who've come out state how long you've been members of this program? I'm sort of curious how long it's been in existence.

I dont see any harm in that question. Almost 2 years.

Now I wanna point something out. I didnt leave nvnews because of this program. I left nvnews for personal reasons. Those reasons have remained drama free for a long while and I'd appreciate people not to draw conclusions about unrelated material. ((by misreading what I originally said))

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

One thing though, did you leave nVnews because of this program? :-|

So a program that was established during a down time for nvidia was simply to get feedback and not establish seeding and sway sales from the competition? This is a hard pill to swallow.....

It's sad that no one actually picked up on this quote of yours....
"Well, dont want to insult that "other" member (talking about rollo). I certainly dont see eye to eye with them on a significant number things. I hope you understand that."

There is more to this program than harmless feedback.

That's your own exclusive conclusion and it most certainly does not reflect reality.

I consider myself living proof for the exact opposite.

Sonofagun. Way the heck back upstream I guessed at that timeframe, essentially about NV40 release. I would think that from NV's perspective, part of their fear, coming off NV3x, was that they couldn't get a fair hearing in the larger community just then even tho they were about to have a very competitive product (which NV4x certainly is/was). So I could see the logic in getting feedback/input/dialogue with a smaller group.
