nVIDIA Announces Quadro4 Solutions

    Today nVIDIA has unveiled the Quadro4 series of workstation products based on the GeForce4 line of chips (NV17 & NV25).

    In the press release there is mention of the Quadro4 NVS400 which utilizes two (presumably NV17) graphics cores for up to four displays. As we mentioned in our GeForce4 launch article it would seem that the GeForce4 chips would support some kind of scaleable solution which could be considered an advancement on 3dfx's 'SLI' solutions. However, from the current press releases we don't know to what level NV25 supports multi-chip scalability or even how the 3D operations are supported. I'm sure we'll find out in the coming months though...
