Ok, I am arguing with Shock Hunter on Futuremark forums ( my name over there is gamergod ) about the IQ settings in the control panel for an 8800 series card.

From what I understand, angle independent AF and zero optimisations is only enabled by setting High Quality in the control panel, correct?

If one was to choose performance or high performance, then optimisations similar to 6X and 7X series cards would be in place, thus causing "swimming textures" ?

    Here is the thread

Correct, trilinear optimizations are still in effect on Quality mode and under.

No, to quote the b3d review (which you should of checked, shame on you!)
In my attempt to put it into laymans terms, it was a necessary evil of previous hardware (problably to keep performance competitive), it should not be an issue on any Geforce8 cards.
