nufront announces a dual A9@2Ghz with Mali 400 MP

Nice, finally someone is using the higher performance version of Cortex-A9 in something. If this is being done for laptops then maybe a specific manufacturer in China is already lined up to actually make a laptop/netbook/tablet with it, if not nufront themselves. Here they're showing a desktop with the chip:

Finally we'll get to see an ARM netbook that can rival those damn Atom netbooks in performance.

One minor issue - I can't find an outright claim that the core uses NEON. It'd be pretty weird if it didn't. The product brief (http://um00i1.chinaw3.com/Nufront NuSmart 2816_EN.pdf) does list this:

"Floating-point and multimedia coprocessor"

So that should be a yes so long as they're not playing any weird tricks on us.

Guess we'll also get to finally see if Mali400 is any good at all.
