Where did the 61k number come from?
Right. I consider $20 to be significant, especially if we're talking about a $100 dollar difference between arcade and pro/elite. Certainly more significant than 256/512M of built-in flash memory or a cable.
Guesses at this point until they are coinfirmed. 61k-95k

Was #21 @ 61K
So more details it's their prediction for September.NPD is predicting a 40-60% increase in sales for PS3. I think 60% is overly optimistic but even if that occurred it still would not match its nearest competitor (going by JUL NPD). From an IR standpoint I'm not sure how I feel about that, it will be interesting next call to see which quarter the slims costs will be placed.
Aha, I was expecting something like this... inclusion of the 360 wireless adapter.
It would be interesting if that was a move to start clearing the channel of wireless adapters if MS were introducing a new SKU with built in wireless. Just wild speculation mind you.
Personally I like it better if they just leave out the wireless adapter and price it cheaper.
I think building in a WiFi adapter should be extremely cheap now - though of course \there is an advantage, as suggested, of being able to upgrade it to newer standards, but I would imagine that if they do a redesign, they're going to include it on the mobo or something like that.
