    14 - Minecraft

The game that just won't go away. :) Has any other game ever managed to chart for so long and so consistently?

Zelda: BOTW is also showing some impressive legs, even for a Nintendo game. It launched 03/03/2017 and it's still regularly popping up on the charts.

And of course, GTA V just keeps chugging along.

If I were Rockstar I'd say fuck it and re-release a GTAV remaster for PS5/NextBox with maybe VR and 2 player split-screen coutch multiplayer and see if that shit sticks. Buy them some time for GTAVI which might take another 6 or 8 years to be finished.

Oh, and on a related Minecraft note. Evidently Minecraft has now officially sold 176 million copies of the game. That obviously doesn't count all the people that play the free version.

To show just how popular it remains. 7 months ago, Microsoft announced it had sold 156 million copies. So 20 million copies sold in 7 months. Developers and publishers would die to have any game sell 10 million copies in its lifetime. Minecraft is doing multiples of that each year...years after its release.

    That just boggles my mind.

Not sure they'll do that with GTA V, but they are probably doing that with RDR 2. PC release is being worked on which means console will eventually get the updated graphics from the PC release on next gen consoles. Basically the same thing that happened with GTA V.

The GTA V unofficial server community is already excited about making servers for RDR 2 on PC for roleplaying. So, it's possible that RDR 2 will supplant GTA V on Twitch for roleplaying. Lots of streamers are excited to do that. And that will help drive sales.
