I don't understand how one can expect a game like that, with the PS3/360 hardware, to run in native 1080p...if you meant upscaled, then nevermind.

In any case the game looks amazing no matter if 720p or upscaled.

But I'm more interested in Star Wars: Force Unleashed at the moment. There will be a demo on the PSN and XBL today, 21st. By any chance, can someone check it out when it's there and drop the resolution + AA in here? I'd be grateful. Especially the differences from 360 to PS3 build are important to me.

you sure? the demo looks kind of rough to me for 2XAA, and little blurred too. Anyone know the spec for the 360 demo?

I think it definitely has 2x, but I'm not certain about the native res being 720p. It does look a bit blurry. Kinda like Dark Sector.

My initial impression was that the X360 version was softer, but I don't know if it was blur or AA. The PS3 version, on the other hand, was sharper, clearer, but jaggier.

you found DS to be a bit blurry? looked pretty sharp to me. they looked almost identical even looking at the Eurogamer comparison despite the res difference.

From what I have read on their sites (impressions) the PS3 version is "crisper" while the 360 is smoother(less jaggies) but very dark.

I'm thinking they both have the same AA but (like SC4) the 360 is running at a higher resolution and downscaled to fit in 720p. Seems a bit overdone since many impressions have said it just doesn't look crisp enough. Of course there are the color differences that are standard.

Would be a pretty bad news imo.

Im almost 100% sure it's 1280x720 res on the PS3, and about 70% sure about 2xAA. Can't comment for the 360 because i don't have one

The 360 version seems to have some sort of edge-blurring AA, which gives things a very soft appearance. No MSAA though on either version, from what I can tell.

Anyone had a chance to look at R&C: Quest for Booty (!)?

The JPN store lists 1080p support, but I don't doubt that it's upscaled.

I'd say it was exactly the same as R&C Tools of Destruction.

1280x704 with 2xAA, maybe Quincunx as it has the tell-tale blurry look to it.

I thought it looked cleaner/less blurry than Tools of Destruction. Overall, it looks better and having downloaded it, I'd say that the resolution is probably the same.

Either the JPN PSN listing has a mistake, or they opted to upscale that version to 1080p because the US one is 720p only (you can't force it either). There is DTS 5.1 support too, which oddly enough has to be forced. but the quality isn't any better than the DD 5.1 option.
