Were they all taken from the multiplayer beta as opposed to some PR screenshot release?

How do you know its so large? The screen is only 2,560 x 1,440 pixels.

How come you know it's doubled?

Hopefully, I'm doing this right. This is on the edge of that billboard or whatever (that thing attached to the car) on the top right:

4 visible steps (greyish/faint steps), but only 2 pixels wide, hence the true res is double.

Unreal Tournament Xbox 360 appears to be 720p, no AA just like the PS3 game. In fact, aside from slight colour changes, the games are remarkably alike.

I was looking at the recent screens posted by BlimBlim on Gamersyde, and noticed that the game looked pretty smooth. Are you sure it has no AA, and not 2x or 4x AA. I am by no means an expert in this area, but if someone would not mind taking a look at one of these screens maybe we could get a definitive answer.

just like Gears and UT3 on PS3, i believe they just hide the aliasing well with post processing effects. if you look at the gun in that particular shot, it definitely looks like theres no AA.

The 360 version does however contain minor scenery elements that are absent on PS3, which is interesting - a PC port, perhaps?

Yeah post-processing and artwork. Also not so noticable on PC without AA.

Well they've done a fair bit of optimising, but all that went into supporting split-screen, if I remember correctly.

    IGN review says there is.

if there is, i'm sure its minor, just like the ps3 version.

It looks like there's AA on the buildings, but not the weapon. Gears of War had the same thing.

Its not AA. I remember it being mentioned around here before, its only applied to static objects or something like that.

IIRC, we discussed it as such, but we never confirmed what exactly they were doing :!:

Eyeing BuzzTV on a 1080p set last night, it had dithering along the edges as though using the MSAA samples, like Lair. Can anyone confirm this?

No, I'm pretty sure you're mistaken. There's some bloom and haze, but no AA.
