    Have you looked at any PAL Wii titles that are 576i only, Quaz?

    well, it is just an over clocked GC, you really cant expect much from it, although native 480p wouldve been nice, component/EDTV support seems to be an after thought

    I will have to check, but I don't think there is a demo. I am looking to buy it actually.

    Is it correct to assume that 1920x1080 downscaled to 1280x720 is 2xAA?.

    hm... Quaz, I'm curious. How do you determine a super-sampled resolution that is downscaled?

    if it's integer coef supersampled (x2, x3, x4..) it's not possible (except if there are alpha coverage element on the screenshot for help) but for other it's possible, 1080p downscaled in 720p is easy to identify

    I have wangan, the game seems to be downscale, all the text and picture looks really pixelated when you run the game at 720p. Fix the problem by switching to 1080i or 1080p mode. There isnt a demo for it, but a 1080p trailer on JP PSN.

    I have a (general) question about sub-HD games on the 360.

    If a game renders at a lower res - say, Halo 3's 640p - is it known what the process is to convert it when outputting at non-720p sets? I ask because I am wondering if the internal scaler does a single scale to whatever the res set in the dashboard is, or if it scales games to the "default" game resolution of 720p, and then lets the OS do the second part of the scaling?

    So, in a process point of view, is it:
    * render at 640p
    * game engine scales to from 640p to 720p and passes to output
    * OS-layer scales to 720p to 1080p

    Or is it:
    * render at 640p
    * OS-layer scales from 640p to 1080p
    ?

    Thanks in advance.

    I'm fairly sure you'll find that Xenos scales to the output resolution in one step.

    I agree, but the extent of it is impossible to tell owing to the truly horrendous JPEG compression, which looks like it was done in MS Paint.

    Hail to the Chimp

    Anyone checked the "Hail to the Chimp" demo on PSN yet? Seems to be a fun party game but it looks seriously sub-720p to me ...
