From what I recall, the PS3 version is cited as having a softer look with less aliasing. Sounds a lot like Quincunx.

Eurogamer is going to have an article to look at the differerences.

Anyone care to guess at the Siren demo on Japanese PSN? There's definitly some upscaling going on, it reminds me of the PS2 game upscaling, but with higher res. The game has a fairly smooth look to it.

These screens are (automatically) generated from the video, so the compression adds blur.
Game itself is quite sharp, no worries.

Definately very sharp...seems to be the same trouble that we had with DMC4 PS3 shots. It's actually a very clean IQ...jaggies minimal. Character models are really good...and mud effects are nice :D

So do you get the full 768 lines of resolution when the PS3 is set to 1080p?

Yeah I came in here to ask for GTAIV too..preferably both versions

I'm also wondering if tiling (and therefore AA) was foregone on 360 to cope with the amazingly demanding open world.

I played some MGO, it seems like temporal trick is done much better than DMC4 or Lost Planet PS3. The game doesnt seems to have any side effect like DMC4 which has some kind of blur msot of the time. Lost Planet PS3 is even worse since its running at half of the frame rate as DMC4, it also makes all the texture look very pixelated. In MGO beta case there isnt any blur like those games, at least not heavy enough that I notice while I play.

Certainly looks like 720p 2xMSAA to me.

    IGN claims
So I wonder what the difference is, if any, if 360 is running 2xaa

Thanks, Dot50Cal, that's good material to work with.

x400% zoom on the first picture (no brightness/contrast changes):

I didn't bother with the second one since the depth of field is kicking in on most of the framebuffer. That picture could be used to check the water shader, if anyone's interested, I guess. Note that the shader used for the water doesn't seem like anything noteworthy, though.

The PS3 version could be running 2xQAA. (Quincix?, I can't spell it).

I've never heard anyone call quincunx AA cleaner. But Hilary Goldstein doesn't seem to be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

If you guys need a framebuffer grab from any 360 game, just ask.
