It doesn't work, serial ports don't supply power and that USB drive would be lit up orange.

It wouldn't work even if there was +5VCC in that port, because RS232 doesn't support hotplugging, and there's no device driver listening on that port for (storage) devices being plugged into it anyway...

It sure is an amusing abomination though!

it doesn't work, because PS/2 to serial adapters never work in the first place even with a microsoft mouse. I'm yet puzzled as how and when you can ever use them.
