A UK based games studio is currently looking for a Motion Editor.

The successful applicat will be working within the animation team, required to meet demanding targets in a high pressured full production environment. Responsible for editing motion capture performance data, implementing game-ready animation from Layout/Block-out to final pass.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient in processing of data through game pipeline.
• Working closely with design team on planning and creating blend trees
• Creating Layout/Block-out pass performances via hand-key or motion capture.
• Motion editing performance data to final pass, pose matching, loops, blends etc

Requirements:

• Thorough understanding of the motion capture and game pipelines.
• Good understanding of creating blend trees and animation flow of game data.
• A solid understanding of traditional animation principles (timing, weight etc) and how they relate to motion captured performance
• Working knowledge of the character technical pipeline
• Proven experience working with motion editing toolsets, layering motion through additive edits. etc
• At least 3+ years experience in game/feature production.
• A passion for enabling delivery of world class performance, right through the pipeline

Specific Skills:

• Autodesk Motionbuilder or other equivalent software.
• Havok Behaviour – preferred but not essential
