MHL alternative?

Besides doing screen mirroring over a Wi-Fi connection, can you get a cable or something that makes a non MHL capable smartphone appear on a bigger screen?

What about DirectPort, or using a capture card of some kind? I'm guessing this ain't possible if a device doesn't support HDMI output to begin with. But it's just a thought I had.

scrcpy via adb.

works via USB and WiFi. Theoretically should work via bluetooth too but probbly not enouh bandwidth

I have another question...

Can you get a hub that has micro-USB and HDMI? Typically, this is only available on the USB-C hubs. It must be a newer thing that's came about, but it probably means you can only use a single cable for screen mirroring.
