Metroid Prime Sequel In Development!

Bumpmapping? MP is beautiful without it.

That's why I say add bumpmapping, it'd make the game breathtaking!

Have you seen the version of quake that adds bumpmapping, it makes the game look sooooooo much better. It would also make the lighting much more realistic looking.

Rargh. I hate Tenebrae.

Where there IS light everything looks like cheap plastic.

And there are too few light sources for a unified lighting model like that...

Tag: I'd tend to agree about Tenebrae. It sucks, at least on my GF3.

The graphics look almost worse than GLQuake..

Hehe, cheap plastic... OK, done right, bumpmapping can make a game look much better. Just do bumpmapping on the things that would look best bump mapped.

Yup :) I agree fully.

However IMO it doesn't really apply as much to Prime, since it just uses additional polys instead of bumps where necessary. Which actually looks better in the end anyway :)

well thats why it sucks. it is not meant for GF3, it is meant for Radeon 9700 or GeForce FX. also keep in mind, it is an amateur project and requires retexturing which is not complete. still, it looks beter than GLQuake if you have quality hardware.

Quaid, it is TOTALLY meant for GeForce3.

The project started before R300 launched at all.

It doesn't even use pixel shaders anyway, just DOT3, Cube maps, and stencil...
