Manticore: Open 3d core

Thought this might be of interest to a few people here, especially with all the recent hub-bub about talon graphics.

I've got nothing to do with this project, but noticed it as I was doing some research for other projects at work.

The VHDL "source code" is all there to look at if you want. It doesn't do much, but might give you a taste of what goes on in the design process.
 
I'm not sure. I imagine the processor cores are fairly easy to implement and test with FPGAs, but other things (like the USB cores and the VGA cores) require physical interfaces, so I'm not too sure.

I doubt too many of them see silicon, as most of the cores are clones of processors with trademarked instruction sets. No sane company would use one of those cores. That doesn't mean a Chinese or Taiwanese company wouldn't...
