Perhaps that is for the best?

I dunno, the trailer looks nice. It'll all come down to gameplay I guess, not exactly a huge strong point of the original DS. If they make it a bit more engaging than the first it could end up being a solid game.

    Gothic 3!

    a) I hope they are able to release it in 2005.
    b) For all you non-german speaking people I hope that they are starting english localization and international distribution a bit earlier than with the previous games...

I also liked the DS2 trailer .. I liked the new most that you get and the way you can make it grow.

The way the player powerups though looks alot like Diablo 2.

I disagree. This was a good year if you're a mmorpg fan.

Gothic 3 chaps. Really, nothing else will compare, unless it comes out of the blue...

Not at all. The previous game was visualy superb and if you're a casual gamer like me, a couple of hours, cooperative, hack and slash a week is spot on. (Just hope they've fixed multi-player, so you can save and continue).

From that list, only 3 or 4 titles interest me, and even they may end up being a dissapointment.

I would kill for a Command and Conquer 3, continuing the Tiberian Sun storyline. Another Wolfenstein would be great too.

Did anyone at all touch Universal Combat, is it a buggy PoS or what?

Concensus says "buggy POS". IIRC, DS says it was released unfinished by the publisher. There are reviews out there if you Google, but I never saw a good one.

Hearts of Iron II should be on the list. Great game with a steep learning curve.

Is Pariah due this year? Looked interesting (MP wise)... and the second trailer was funny :)

What was so great about 2004?

The night of the living dead threads?

    It has already been released.
And it's not good, SP or MP.
    Yes.

I wanted to know about Universal Combat, so I did a quick search, realised this thread made mention and figured it'd resurrect this rather than start yet another thread.
