Legend
Picked this up yesterday as I'm a sucker for Traveller's Tales special brand of Lego whimsy, and boy, did they upgrade their tech. It's pretty much the first game in the series that looks like it was built for this hardware generation insead of being a mere up-res'd remnant of the last. Gorgeous lighting effects (they really nailed the lok of the new trilogy here) with a metric ton of real time shadows, very high quality object based motion blur, hundreds of characters on-screen, gorgeous environments with tons of neat little effects, really convincing looking shaders, and it all runs at a silky smooth framerate. (PS3)
It's also a lot of fun to play, and the amount of little mechanical tweaks and changes have a suprisingly profound effect on gameplay. The amount of content is just insane: having 30 incredibly intricate levels alone is worthy of a lot of praise, but then there are also well over a hundred characters you can unlock.
How big of a studio is TT at this point? Hard to believe that Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is right around the corner given how massive The Clone Wars is.
This video does a good job at showing how far the visuals have come along:
